Dear Friends, sorry, for the absence. We got hit pretty hard with something that has included words like "projectile" and "watery substance" and "wait to see if the fever rises above 103." We experienced our first baby-to-Children's-Hospital-ER-in-the-middle-of-the-night episode through which Ace was a dream. Exhausted, very ill, but patient and trusting as I've only seen adults be. I do 2-3 loads of laundry so he can stay in his fuzzy PJ's for better comfort.
And being his mama, I've also been hit though not as hard. So it's quiet over here until this plague passes.
But Hawk and I are very grateful. This is the second time (first was here) that we left Children's with a "healthy" child. No complaints here. We knew this is what parenting means when we pursued Ace, and we're just so glad this is all we have to go through.
Hope this finds you very well! Thanks for checking in on us!
