wordle

My dear friend, Hums, is in town from Seattle. She was in our wedding and is the only person I can stand constantly for more than a day. We took a trip to Prague in '05 on a whim, not sure where we'd find shelter or how we'd get around, and it was one of the greatest weeks of my life. I didn't stop laughing for 6 days straight, and not once did I consider leaving her side. She's probably the closest thing I have to a woman soulmate.

On Sunday, we sat around the house catching up and she directed me to Wordle, a site into which you plug your blog address and it creates this for you:

Neato, eh?

  1. I like how you say that "not once did I consider leaving her side." Are you suffering from a brief bout of amnesia?

For all you readers, here is the real story: we were leaving the Frankfurt airport and flying standby back to the States. When it became clear that there was not enough room on the plane for both of us, the agent offered me a ticket and told me to board. I adamantly told them I could not abandon my dear friend, Jen, alone in the airport in Germany. I thought the agent's eyes were going to pop out of her head! Then she proceeded to yell at me in English and German, but I stood my ground. 10 minutes after that flight departed, the agent told Jen she could get a ticket on a flight to Cincinnati and be home that night. She ran so fast toward the large, she-man security guard (who would give her WAY too personal of a pat down) and the plane home that she forgot to say goodbye.... she was home in Milwaukee that night. 3 days later, I was home in Milwaukee. So much for loyalty.

Whatev. Yet another funny story from that trip that I didn't want you to forget, dear friend. :)
